Edwin W. Johnson obituary
He married Florence Whitener of Buckhorn on March 26, 1938. She preceded
him in death. He was a member of the Baptist Church until his marriage when
he joined the Lutheran Church. He and Florence were long-time members of Peace Lutheran Church in Lemay. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fredericktown the past two years. He worked for Emerson Electric and Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis,
Missouri, retiring in 1974. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, traveling, and amateur
radio.
He was the grandson of Richard Riley and Fannie C. (Clubb) Johnson and
Alfred Boyd and Seralda Jane (Killian) Henson, all residents of Buckhorn.
Edwin Wagner Johnson died December 24, 2004 at ClaRu Deville nursing home
after a short illness. He was born December 3, 1912 to Charles Gilbert and
Edna Elizabeth (Henson) Johnson at Buckhorn, Missouri. His brother Carl Gilbert Johnson and sister Mae Olivia
Tripp preceded him in death. He leaves a son Gerald Norman Johnson, a
sister Lily Ellen Tripp, a brother Charles Odell Johnson, and seven neices.
